While lost objects in Horary are tricky, this is one area of the practice where I have had some success. The querent had lost a quote for a medical procedure and could not find it. The chart was cast on July 21, 2025, at 8:14 PM in Franklin, NC.

The Ascendant was at 22° Capricorn, making Saturn the significator of the querent. Saturn was in the angular fourth house in Aries, in the sign of its fall and retrograde. Retrograde planets often indicate a mistake or oversight on the querent’s part. Saturn also rules the second house of assets and belongings, so I did not assign it to the missing document. In Horary, it is often recommended to assign missing objects to the Moon.

The Moon was in Gemini, suggesting the document was elevated or off the ground, as Gemini is an air sign. I advised the querent that, since the Moon was near Venus, the document could be near beauty or art-related items, possibly on a desk, dresser, or among clothing. The Moon’s next aspect was a square to Saturn, indicating the querent would recover the document.

As for timing, Saturn in a cardinal sign and the Moon in a mutable, double-bodied sign suggested the document would be found within about seven days.

On July 28. 2025, the querent messaged me and said the following:

“I found the documents in a dresser drawer, a side table; in with all my electricity paperwork from when I moved in and was making a bunch of calls to switch things over. It was flipped over clipped to a clipboard. 

My daughter crawls into my bed and uses this side to stash stuff... she's made a mess over here & has a hoard of snacks, along with art supplies.”
